Lifesaving / Pool TA course ....watch this space .  I have piloted a TA course with Conrad Horn see www.activetrainingnetwork.com this has worked well and will be repeated periodically.  The next course for full Lifesaving TA is 30/11/10, 01/11/10, 02/11/10, and 05/11/10 Ormskirk.  Cost £285.  Candidates must be 18 years, in personal membership  the RLSS and have a current Bronze Medallion and Life Support 3 or equivalent

Child Protection:

CRB checks - Due to CRB Regulations RLSS UK will no longer accept the possibility of using a CRB Certificate from another organisation, that is less than 12 months old.  Any person involved in teaching, training & supervising children under 18 years of age is encouraged to go through the process as early as possible.  Presently there is no cost to the Society for this process.   Please encourage your Club Welfare Officers, TA's etc to apply.  (All Lifesaving Clubs should have an Appointed Child Welfare Officer)  Contact  AlanCondliffe Branch Child Protection Officer for advice .  (Edited from Lifesavers RELAY March 2006).
