Branch Committee on Wed 17/06/09 7.30pm at Kingsway LC., Widnes please attend

Welcome to the Liverpool & District Branch Website we are part of Lifesavers the national charity which has thousands of members across the UK and Ireland - from youth members and individual adult members to trainers or corporate members. The Branch was 75 years old in 2005.

Your interest may be in lifeguarding, water safety, lifesaving as a sport, or Community First Responders, but our members ALL promote and help to save lives - either in the water or on land. This is through supporting the wide variety of courses and activities designed to teach skills and techniques to make a difference when it counts.

Activities range from Save A Baby’s Life classes & Community Life Support to training youngsters in competitive lifesaving as a sport.

You do not need to teach lifesaving skills if you become a member. You may wish to help through assisting with administration, IT, or fundraising. Perhaps you have professional expertise that could help Lifesavers, or maybe you have an interest in a certain area. Everyone’s contributions are welcome. See the "Branch" pages for the nearest club to you, or contact the local organiser for advice.

Members:

  • are automatically insured worldwide against third party liability and personal accident when lifesaving or lifeguarding
  • receive free copies of the charity’s quarterly magazine
  • have access to the UK Club network
  • are part of the worldwide network of lifesavers and lifeguards
