Welcome to the Liverpool & District Branch Website we are part of Lifesavers the national charity which has thousands of members across the UK and Ireland - from youth members and individual adult members to trainers or corporate members. The Branch was 80 years old in 2010. Your interest may be in lifeguarding, water safety, lifesaving as a sport, or Community First Responders, but our members ALL promote and help to save lives - either in the water or on land. This is through supporting the wide variety of courses and activities designed to teach skills and techniques to make a difference when it counts. Activities range from Save A Baby’s Life classes & Community Life Support to training youngsters in competitive lifesaving as a sport. You could complete a Life Support Award and the flagship awards Bronze Medallion, Award of Merit or even the accolade of a Distinction. We also have open water Lifesaving Awards comprising the Bronze Cross and Silver Cross. Doing your Duke of Edinburgh's Award or similar we can provide opportunities to assist in completion of sections. For example doing a Bronze Medallion counts. You do not need to teach lifesaving skills if you become a member. You may wish to help through assisting with administration, IT, or fundraising. Perhaps you have professional expertise that could help Lifesavers, or maybe you have an interest in a certain area. Everyone’s contributions are welcome. See the "Branch" pages for the nearest club to you, or contact the local organiser for advice. Members:
